Woltemade enjoyed a fine season with Stuttgart last season, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists in 33 appearances in all competitions, and also scored four goals and provided two assists for Germany at the European Under-21 Championship.
The striker has begun to attract interest from other European clubs following a breakout season that saw him play a key role in Stuttgart’s DFB-Pokal win, as well as starring in the current under-21 Euros for Germany.
Even if an extension cannot be agreed this summer, Stuttgart are still in control as Woltemade’s deal is valid for three more years and there is no release clause in his contract.
